Media Arts

Media Arts majors explore their vision within the following distinctive modes: as animators, writers, and digital motion picture makers.

The program includes classes in animation, poetry, fiction, screenwriting, cinemetography, and media design, as well as fictional, documentary, and experimental video.

The various concentrations within the department are joined as students continually rework their pieces toward a successful communication. Students participate weekly in idea development and workshop to generate and revise their creations.

“You guys are ahead of the curve. I was in college before I knew the difference between linear and non-linear films. This is an exciting high school. When you study the arts, you study life.”

– Roger Ebert, Film Critic
